At geminiptc, we have focused primarily on three areas this year: improving the efficiency of public transportation, advising transportation companies on analyzing and improving their IT infrastructure for public transportation operations, and school transportation.

Elektroauto-News.net interviewed me about my experiences with zero-emission vehicles in public transportation. We talked about current developments and new trends, the future of electric buses, and what to make of hydrogen-powered vehicles. After many wonderful and successful years in Berlin, the time has come for a change of scenery. For personal reasons, I’m moving to North Rhine-Westphalia. As a result, my small business will now be based in Cologne!

Since many of you are interested in this topic, here is a summary of the seminars on on-demand transportation organized by Breidenbach and Frost, as well as by the VDV on multimodality.

Normally, I don’t write about transportation policy here, since it doesn’t fall within my usual area of expertise. However, I’d like to make an exception for this election.

It’s that time of year again—time to look back on 2022. For the sixth time now, I have the opportunity to reflect on the year’s events at my own small business. And I have to say: a lot has happened again!

The reference book *Differentiated Service in Public Transportation* has now been published by BEKA-Verlag and, in my opinion, provides an excellent overview of the current state of various public transportation service models. Since this book also discusses many new forms of mobility that we manage at geminiptc, I’d like to share a few thoughts on the subject.

There it was—the first Innotrans in four years. And it was wonderful that we all saw each other again without a screen, face to face, and realized that we could discuss certain things so much faster and more easily. Since there was so much going on, we’d like to take this opportunity to summarize all the topics we discussed there.

After four years, we’re back! Right around the corner from us, at Messe Berlin, Innotrans—the leading trade fair for public transport—will take place from September 20–23. I usually try to write something around the New Year. Since that didn’t work out at all this year, let me at least take this opportunity to wish you a Happy New Year!

We’ve been working toward this event for years, and now it’s behind us—undoubtedly the highlight of the 2021 conference season. And that’s not just because there were so few gatherings beforehand due to the pandemic. But let’s start from the beginning: What were the key takeaways from the ITS World Congress in Hamburg?

Before you know it, five years have flown by. On September 1, 2016, I officially launched my business. The fact that this company’s story has unfolded so quickly and successfully is largely thanks to my clients.

A crazy year is coming to an end. Never before have public institutions invested so heavily in new forms of mobility. Initiatives such as ride-sharing, electric mobility, and intermodal platforms have been promoted, further developed, and brought to market readiness.

The latest developments regarding the PbefG reform are interesting. In particular, scheduled on-demand transport is set to benefit from some exciting new provisions.
